Carla i was going to make the same point, but it just seemed so pathetic. But as we are on ties i bought a really exspensive tie at a car boot sale. ( the lady bought it for her husband as a present, he wouldnt wear it to flash) and it was a great tie, designer make and all that but flash. Anyway i turn up at the K.H in my tie i bought at a boot sale.( pure silk and quality) and i get told not to wear it again. Now i understand why the ladies husband didnt want it to wear to work, it was flamboyant, but i also learnt the watch tower is all image and superficiality. Things you learn from a tie.

On a Scale of 1 to 10---How Devoted Were You To Being One of Jehovah's Witnesses?
by minimus inas i grew up in the religion, i was a 10. i wanted to be made a "servant" because that was instilled in me from infancy.
i diligently studied ever piece of watchtower literature and defended my religion intensely.. when i got into my 30's, i started to see little cracks in the watchtower's surface but decided to "wait on jehovah".
then i started to research a little more critically and realized i couldn't defend the prophecies, the treatment of people and the hypocrisy that was becoming more obvious, that especially an elder can see.. it was a gradual thing---from a 10 to a zero!.

Say i were to write a book. hmmmmm lets give it a title " One six and sixty nine" ...thats a better title than" fifty shades of grey" ( amazed thst book hasnt been mentiond yet) ...Any way i love all the self help books and who wrote the bible books, i mean say they sell a million copies do the maths. Who wins?
Now if i sell only 10, 000 copies of " one six and sixty nine" i am laughing all the way to the bank, i mean to the baharmas....gee i love these self help books, and corny romances....now who wants to but a copy of " one six and sixty nine"?

Scary 21...you answer 2 ...i think Shakespeare said " two be or not two be? that is the question." ...and thats the Answer to " How devoted we were to being J.Ws " Its either " Two be or not to be" in our hearts that is...

A not so loving phone call....
by new hope and happiness ini recently got a letter in my pillar box asking me to attend a meeting at the k.h.
i ignored the " kind" request.. this was folloed up by a " loving" phone call with the question " do i believe in the organisation" my reply.
" anyway what pissed me off was during the " loving" phone call i realized there was another " brother" listning in.

Punk... its amazing how the elders loose power when confronted with passive resistence. I mean once you dont play by the " text book" W.T rules the elders get confused and become very powerless...thats a FACT.

One Can Be Spiritual With or Without Religions!
by exWTslave inbehind all the details in the bible lies the absolute truth: love is the true religion.
(james 1:27) [conversely, self-serving is false religion.colossians 3:5] that means god is not a factor in the true worship.
(habakkuk 2:4) his attitude is that if you are good, it is good for you; and if you do bad, it is bad for you.

i think i am a spiritual person...sounds silly but i am not sure how to define spiritual. Yet i feel in my heart i am spiritual. And i dont have a religion.
